2014 Champions for Charity Kickball Tournament—Save the Date!

Mark your calendars for the 2014 Champions for Charity kickball tournament!  We’ll return to the fields at Diamond Sports Park Saturday, February 8, 2014.  We’ll be posting information here soon about 2014 team entry, sponsorships, volunteers and other opportunities to participate in the tournament so check back frequently.

2013 Results and Recap

The 2013 tournament took place on Saturday, February 2 at Diamond Sports Park.  Thanks to all who participated and supported the event.  Due to your contribution, ACEL awarded $11,600 to eight charities this year bringing the tournament’s total to $57,100 since its debut.

Tournament Champions UF Division of Student Affairs with Event Organizers ACEL

Congratulations to tournament champions for the second consecutive year University of Florida Division of Student Affairs for scoring $5,000 for their chosen charity Project Makeover.  Prizes for the 2013 tournament were awarded as follows:

First place and $5,000 for Project Makeover, UF Division of Student Affairs
Second place and $2,500 for Public Schools Foundation, Gainesville Health and Fitness
Third place and $1,250 for ACORN Clinic, The Orthopaedic Institute
Fourth place and $850 for Children’s Miracle Network, CAMPUS USA Credit Union
Fifth place and $500 for Children’s Home Society, Ken Cornell-Bosshardt Realty
Sixth place and $500 for Gainesville Fisher House Foundation, Tower Hill Insurance
Seventh place and $500 for River Phoenix Center for Peace Building, Florida School of Massage
Eighth place and $500 for Arthritis Foundation, Exactech
